Patricia is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Theoretical and Experimental Linguistics at the Université Paris Cité. She finished her Bachelor’s in Linguistics at the University of the Philippines, where she gained most of her experience and developed her love for language documentation and description, pragmatics, and conversation analysis. At Inria, she is working on developing a taxonomy of both verbal and non-verbal signals and cues that are specifically related to personality. She hopes to extend and apply all of the skills and knowledge she is acquiring with this experience in France to further the development of linguistics in the Philippines, as well as bringing on to the world stage her native language Tagalog, and all the other indigenous languages of her country. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, going for long walks, deep cleaning, and organizing her room.
