Professor Justine Cassell was invited to the Artificial intelligence summit in France as one of 20 speakers. The night before the Summit, Cassell will attend a small dinner at the Elysee with President Macron.

A day of debates and speeches on the theme of Artificial Intelligence, its opportunities and challenges is organized in Paris on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

France aims to position itself at the forefront of research and innovation but also economic, legal and ethical considerations related to artificial intelligence. This day will mark the culmination of the joint work conducted between Cédric Villani, deputy and winner of the Fields Medal, and Mounir Mahjoubi, Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, in charge of Digital.

This event will take place at the Collège de France. The morning will be devoted to interventions by about fifteen French and international experts as well as Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy and Finance and Mounir Mahjoubi, Secretary of State for Digital. The day will be closed by the announcement of the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence by the President of the Republic.
